"La Casa Del Abuelo"

My dear readers!

Finally, I am back home from my amazing vacation is Madrid! It was so incredible, so I thought this week’s post would be on one of the great things I found locally. This lovely little tapas bar called “La Casa Del Abuelo” (The Grandfather’s house).

The bar itself was founded in 1906 and it’s been pretty much the same since then. Nothing has changed, least of all the address, which I find super charming and lovely. It is world famous for its prawns with white wine, so naturally, I had to try them. I have to say, they are absolutely divine! In all honesty, it was probably some of the best food we had all the time we were there.

The bar itself is very small, only with small high tables to stand by, but it only adds to the authenticity and the charm of the place. When being there, you get the feel of history. You can feel that things have been like this for years and years, which is such a charming and wonderful thing!

All in all, I would definitely recommend “La Casa Del Abuelo” to everyone! If you find yourself in Madrid, this is the place to go!

Hopefully, you are all having a great day! See you in next week's post!

Much love!

  1. If we imagine that Jig wrote this, there is still a whole lot left out of the original story, so we would never be able to deduce that this text has anything to do with the Hemingway original. At best, this could be called a form of sequel (what happened later) to the original story. For it to be truly 'based on' the original, we would need many more elements from that original to be present in your text - not least the central conflict of the abortion.
