A digital war
To-day we witness a digital age. Yesterday,
We dealt with its consequences. And to-morrow morning,
We will have to keep on fighting. But to-day,
To-day the digital age is inevitable. The future
Is scary with the views of global warming as our next
door neighbour
And to-day we are in a digital age
This is the upper class of the
digital age. And this
Is the lower class of digital
age, whose very best
Friend is the greenhouse
effect. And this is the actual devices,
Which have caused the entire
global warming. The politicians
Don’t give a shit about the
environment as is shown
By their non-existing actions
and their silent gestures
Which some of the citizens in
this digital age do have
Before we lose all hope, we do
have a safety-catch
With the possibility of a
revolution. And please do not
Stand in our way when we some
day complete it. It is
Quite easy to summon enough
strength and go against the flow
There will be obstacles on the
way to a better future, but it only
Makes us stronger – it is not
a real fight without a few challenges
All we have to do is stick
together
This is the captain without
which a revolution is not possible.
His purpose is to deal out the
tasks to the ones who sign in.
Some might see him as a
dictator controlling everyone, but
That would be twisting the
real thing. And the good citizens
Are indeed following his
orders and thus beginning the revolution
It’s called obeying, bitch!
They call it a beginning revolution: it is very easy
If you have the guts, just go
with the flow: like the glue
And the citizens, and the
gadgets and the point of no return,
Which in this case is possible
to achieve; and the sound of the riots
Storming through the streets
and the capitalists trying to oppose them
Well,
fuck that – today, we revolutionize!
Good idea to update the 'war' to 'digital' and 'revolution'. I had a hard time distinguishing the tone of the two voices from one another - they seemed too similar both in terms of how direct they were and where they spoke from politically. Could you separate them more clearly, perhaps?
ReplyDeleteSome lines seem a bit misplaced, such as the "It's called obeying, bitch!" and "just go with the flow: like the glue". It is somewhat difficult to recognize Reed in there.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I do like the global warming approach.
