 Chills

The snow delivers cold chills
The Winter is to blame
The human holster reacts accordingly,
By generating still thrills

Spring turns snow into liquid forms
The mind; washed not but rinsed
The forthcoming phase is allegedly,
One of warmer chills

(my words: rinsed but not washed)

  1. "Human holster" is an awkward phrase in English. The proper equivalent metaphor in English would be 'mortal coil'...
But the poem is otherwise one of simple and pure statement, and it works quite efficiently. The backwards phrase is of the 'easy' kind - the kind that mirrors around a 'not' or an 'and'...
