Batman Gets Coffee
I noticed something when I saw 'The
Killing Joke',
something I thought was silly and
caused me to choke.
In a scene of the movie, Batman meets
Batgirl on a cold night,
she seems a bit moody after having been
in a fight.
So to cheer her up, Batman brought her
something to drink,
coffee in a cup, it appears to be, I
think.
This part made me laugh out loud:
did Batman stop by Starbucks on this
night out?
While the cup has no label, it still
seems to be from a shop,
the type of shop where coffee is sold.
So was he on his way able to make a
quick stop,
and get Batgirl some coffee, to deal
with the cold?
This creates a funny picture, I hope
you concur:
of Batman standing in line at Starbucks as a regular
costumer.
And Starbucks has a feature that is
very well known
and has been adopted by other shops as
a milestone.
Wether Starbucks or Baresso – it is
all the same:
when getting coffee to go, they ask for
your name.
So when a clerk grabbed a pen, asked
the question, ready to give the cup it's brand,
did he stoically then – with a
dead-pan expression – answer by stating: “I'm Batman”?
I think that you have succeed in making a very funny poem! Also, you raise a question that I think a lot of us would actually like to know the answer to! Additionally, I like the plot of the poem and the fact that of course Batman has to bring a girl coffee if he wants to impress her, even though he is BATMAN.
ReplyDeleteHe probably did, and the clerk most likely misheard: "Did you say 'Bad mum'??" (I once had a cold and the girl serving me gave up and wrote "Pet"...)
